I have been shedding lots of hair for 8 weeks already, I am very scared of going bald. My baby would be turning 5 month very soon.

It is normal to go through a shedding process after giving birth. A lot of it is due to your hormones.

I would talk to your obstetrician/gynecologist to get a referral to a dermatologist if you are still concerned or any more issues arise…

A little about my family hair loss history. My grandfather is bald. But my fathers side of the family have some or little hair loss. I’m starting to bald, but by the looks of it, it looks like i’m inheriting my fathers side of the family hair loss. I’m wondering if this is the right drug for me.

I’m currently using Tresemme (Moisture for dry/damaged hair) but I also have Tea Tree shampoo, but my mom said you should use a gentle shampoo, like baby shampoo. Any good recommendations?
Oh and PS, the treatment consists of pills and a topical “serum”.

I was using tea tree shampoo but i thought it was way too harsh, right now i am using gillette’s daily balance shampoo. I am using pills and topical serum as well. Your mom is probably right about the baby shampoo…I also tried a moisturizing shampoo but i found that it made my scalp sort of break out and caused more hair loss i think…I talked to someone about it and they said it was probably over-moisturized.

I dont want to try rogaine or any products, cuz i heard you start losing hair again once u stop using them..

try Nioxin. They are sold in the ULTA stores. I got my hubby to try it cause he was loosing hair… and I personally used it after having baby cause my hair was shedding which I heard it was normal. So give it a try.
